Program of JS Turkestan. T3

Day 1. Arrive Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
You begin your tour in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, (optional Almaty (KZ), Tashkent(UZ)). Your afternoon is at leisure and enjoying in hotel.

Day 2. Bishkek and about
Begin your day with a sightseeing tour, hosted by our guide. Highlights include the ORTHODOX CHURCH, ORIENTAL BAZAAR, NATIONAL SQUARE, MUSEUM OF ARTS etc. Afternoon is for car tour to ALA-ARCHA valley (National Park) and preparation for the next day tour. Accomodattion in hotel.

Day 3. Karakol - Yurts camp
Your day is for transferring via ISSYK-KUL LAKE to KARAKOL town 400 km from BISHKEK via BOOM gorge with intricate rock canyons and visiting BURANA TOWER (11th c) en-route. Your second overnight is in Yurts Camp in the center of KARAKOL town.

Day 4. Chon-Kyzyl-Suu
After breakfast in cafe you'll be transferred to CHON-KYZYL-SUU valley (50km from KARAKOL) and begin your trekking. After day of hiking you'll have a camp in the forest under the main gorge TERSKEY ALA-TOO. The stream of crystal clear water from local glacier is very replenisher and lovely.

Day 5. At-Jailoo
Today you will reach At-Jailoo valley and go over JYLUU-SUU pass (3400m). The camp is again in the forest and near the rivers DJETY-OGUZ and AT-JAILOO. The altitude for overnight is 2500m.

Day 6. Yrdyk
Your day for reaching YRDYK valley over the pass of 3410m. This area is famous with its red colored rocks. Camp is surrounded with rocks, mountains and forest of fir-trees.

Day 7. Kashka-Suu
This morning you tour pleasant-looking pass to KASHKA-SUU valley, where ski-base of Karakol town is situated. This valley is using for picnic time on holidays by people of town. Here you can see the small popular peaks for beginners in mountain climbing. Camp is in forest on altitude 3000m.

Day 8. Altyn-Arashan
Today is a day of KASHKA-SUU pass of 3410m high. You have good acclimatization for passing over it. The short top on the summit is good for seeing around and watching the highest peaks of Terskey Ala-Too: KARAKOL (5273m), DJIGIT and OGUZ-BASHI PEAKS. The ridge of these peaks lasts from the west to the east. After that, you go down to the valley of ALTYN-ARASHAN resort. This resiort is famous with its HOT SULPHUR SPRINGS. Your evening is at leisure and having bath in this lovely spot. Camping in tents or in a local guest house optional.

Day 9. Altyn-Arashan
The day of your relaxation and enjoying the surprising nature around. The valley is attractive with its wonderful mountains and nature. This place is famous worldwide with its beautiful forests and lovely places for campings. Full day of excursions and swimming in the natural sulphur Hot Springs.

Day 10. Ak-Suu
Today's journey takes you to the valley AK-SUU. On the way you will pass one more pass of 3600m. This pass is border between two valleys ARASHAN and AK-SUU. Another resort is situated down in AK-SUU valley with hot baths but it's not so remote area and a lot of people are there everyday... Camp near the river on altitude of 2800m.

Day 11. Djergez
Explore the wild pass AILANYSH of 3650m and descend to DJERGEZ valley. There is a place without any people in neighbourhood. The first village is 30 km far from your camp.

Day 12. Turgen-Aksu
Day for your walking over two passes. The first pass is without name of 3516m to BOZ-UCHUK valley (the last fence before the TURGEN-AKSU valley), and last pass has name BOZ-UCHUK Pass (3360m). Upon your descending to river, you should cross it over the wooden bridge and set the tents for your camp on the bank. The TURGEN-AKSU valley is famous with its road to Central Tien-Shan's magical peaks and valleys.

Day 13. Kok-Keja
Trekking over the Bulak-Ashu Pass (3467 m), descent to the Kok-Keja river is the program for you today. Camping is on altitude of 3100m near the main road to Central Tien-Shan and to highest peaks.

Day 14. Tiup
The Chakyr-Korum pass of 3710 m. is the task for you today, on the summit you'll see the view of surrounded valleys. Descent to the Tiup gorge will take you two-three hours till the lovely spot for your camp-site near the stream of crystal water on altitude of 3000m.

Day 15. Saryjaz Gorge
Trip is going on to SARYJAZ gorge - the valley of SARYJAZ river, the biggest in Kyrgyzstan. Trekking over Echkilitash pass (3723m) and camping near the river on altitude 2900m. It's real possibility to observe wild yaks there.

Day 16. Karkara Gorge
KARKARA VALLEY is the next destination for you. This day will be full of mountain rocks and windy slopes. Transfer is unforgettable with wild nature and wide flat valleys. Camping on the picturesque meadow on the Basecamp KARKARA.

Day 17. Karkara
Your day is at leisure. Hike around the picturesque places near the base camp or optional thrilling helicopter flightseeing tour through over whole INYLCHEK GLACIER and along the wild KOKSHAAL-TOO and TENGRI-TAG ridges. View of Khan-Tengri (6995m) and Pobedy (7439m) peaks is unforgettable. Return to base camp.

Day 18. Almaty
This morning you bid farewell to KARKARA Basecamp before continiue your tour to Almaty through the towns and villages of Kazakhstan and famous CHARYN CANYON. If you have been in American's Bryce, Grand or Zion Canyons you feel the same senses here. All the similar but reduced scope. Hotel accomodation is good for overnight after long trip in the mountains.

Day 19. Almaty - Medeo complex
Begin your day with the city tour, hosted by our guide. Today's highlights are the ZENKOV CHURCH, GREEN MARKET, NATIONAL SQUARE, MUSEUMS AND THEATRES. Afternoon is for trip to MEDEO COMPLEX - the largest Skating Rink in the world. Hotel.

Day 20. Almaty - Depart for home
Today you fly home from airport with many pleasant memories of your vacation to Kyrgyzstan's beautiful Terskey Ala-Too range.
