ROCK AND ICE CLIMBING SCHOOL

TURKESTAN J.S. COMPANY. now offers an exclusive rock and ice climbing school. Learn how to from the experts. Men who have lived and worked in the Tien-Shans and the Pamirs all of their lives will teach you the art and science of climbing.       The program begins in Bishkek - capital  of Kyrghyzstan. You will go to the suburbs of in the cottages on the bank of the Issyk-Kul Lake. After having reaching Karakol base, located in the valley of Karakol river, it is necessary to have a acclimatization walk      

Day. 1-2. Arrive  in  Bishkek (Almaty, Tashkent). Transfer from Almaty (Tashkent)  to Bishkek. Trip  to Karakol (400 km).  Overnight on the bank of the Issyk-Kul  Lake. Chalet  (1600 m) or homestay  
3. Acclimatization. sightseeing around in Karakol, visiting the Dungon mosque and the Orthodox  church, oriental   bazaar and the Prgevalsky monument.   
4. Medical examination, consultations, travel to Ak-Soo canyon to the rock base (alt-2000m).    
5-6. Rock climbing, theory and practice.   
7. Travel to Karakol canyon.  
8-11. Ice   snow climbing, theory and practice.   
12-14.  Ascent to mounting (rock). h=3800-4300m.  
15. Free day to relax  and prepare for next ascents.   
16-18. Ascent  to the peak of Prgevalsky (4283m.) (ice, snow, rock)   
19. Return to Karakol.  
20. Tour of Bishkek (trip to Almaty or Tashkent).
21. Return home.
