At the very
heart of the Eurasian continent lies an immense expanse, the slumbering, ancient Tien-Shan.
Inhabitants of surrounding valleys call this place 'The Heavenly Mountains'. Heavenly in
their beauty, heavenly in their grandeur and waiting for you to experience the adventure of a lifetime. Year by year this hidden land has become more and more popular amongst
climbers and tourists of all nationalities. Numerous mountains, including Peak Pobeda (7439 m) and the snow-white marble pyramid of Khan-Tengri (7010 m) attract
adventurers from all around the world. The Tien-Shan is a marvelous region in which one can find practically every ecological environment. It is a world of rocky canyons,
endless mountain ranges, ice-bound summits and forests teeming with exotic wildlife and virgin flora. Huge lake ISSYK-KUL, The Pearl of Kyrgyzstan, rests in
the center surrounded by snow white mountains. The lake is situated at an altitude of 1609 m. It is said that the water has a unique healing quality that restores
tired bodies to their youthful vigor. Canyons near the lake are picturesque and unique, boasting mineral springs and waterfalls. Valleys are striped with streams of pure drinking water. There
is no heavy industry in this region, leaving the air uniquely clean and fresh. Alpine forests surround mountainous rivers, tumbling into the snow-white giants
reflected in Issyk-Kul. Huge glaciers push down from the summits and ridges, (of which the biggest is Inylchek Glacier, stretching for almost 60
Km). Mertzbakher Lake, situated at an altitude of 3300m at the confluence of the South and North Inylchek Glaciers is almost
heavenly in its beauty. Kol-Sai Lake, surrounded by slender Tien-Shan fir trees growing in thick forests, abounds in mushrooms and berries. But the richest souvenir from the
Kol-Sai lake is its famous trout, virtually extinct in other regions. The Tien Shan climate is temperate, with warm winters (-10c), and near perfect summers (about +25c). The exotic sights,
sounds, culture and of course, the mountains make this a truly unforgettable vacation destination!.
