Easy These treks have been designed to suit people of all ages
and levels of fitness. Most involve enjoyable day hikes from a single base camp, or short treks between consecutive campsites over easily accessible terrain. The furthest that you are likely to hike in a day is 10km, although the majority of day treks are much shorter than this.
The suggested packages in this section are particularly suitable for those who want to get off the beaten track, but discover Kyrgyzstan's nomadic lifestyle and unique natural environment at a reasonably relaxed pace. Highest trekking point: 3,600m Highest
overnight camp: 3,000m These itineraries are our suggestions - please contact us to tailor make your ideal trek.
Fitness Required This is a selection of longer and more challenging suggested treks, designed
for people with a reasonable level of fitness and stamina. All involve consecutive days of trekking between campsites, transporting food and equipment. These treks take you to the Central Tien Shan's more remote peaks and valleys, involving higher passes and, occasionally, more
difficult terrain (scree, steep slopes). Some experience of mountain walking is preferred - those with no experience should hire a porter and accept instructions from our guides. Older walkers, or those past their peak of fitness may also wish to think about hiring a porter. A
long day of trekking would cover 15km. If you are willing to risk the occasional blister the Celestial Mountains will reward you with unrivalled, panoramic views and access to some or the world's most isolated and spectacular places. Highest trekking point:
4,000m Highest overnight camp: 3,500m These itineraries are our suggestions - please contact us to tailor make your ideal trek.
Challenging This is an adventurous and exciting range of expeditions designed for peak-baggers
and enthusiastic outward bounders. Suitable only for those with a good level of fitness and stamina, participants must have some experience of hiking in mountainous conditions. Featuring consecutive weeks of trekking up to 15km per day and frequently challenging terrain,
these are some of the most demanding, but undoubtedly most rewarding treks in the Central Tien Shan. Truly the mountain adventures of a lifetime! Highest trekking point: 5,000m Highest overnight point: 4,500m These itineraries are our suggestions - please
contact us to tailor make your ideal expedition.
